Our Team

Trinity West is led by a team of elders who are responsible for the teaching, leading and pastoral care of the church.

Malcolm Cunningham

Elder – Pastor

Malcolm is humbled to be part of the amazing church community affectionately known as “TW” since 2022. He loves seeing people discover the grace and power of Jesus in their lives and believes this is something everyone needs. Outside of church life, he seeks out the best of London, not least of all theatre and live music. (There’s even a wild rumour he once played live on stage). After ten years in the tech industry, he completed a degree in theology and has been serving in ministry ever since. He is happily married to Jacqui and they have 3 adult children.

James Kight

Elder – Pastor

James grew up outside of London and is grateful for family and church friends who taught him about Jesus. After moving to London to study chemical engineering at university, he spent ten years working at another central London church. During that time, he completed his seminary degree at Oak Hill Theological College, and remains passionate about reaching London with the gospel. He enjoys reading, playing tennis (or any other available sport), and spending time with his wife and children.

Reuben Lewis

Elder

Reuben has been part of Trinity West since 2015 and is thankful for the way the church family has helped him grow in his love for Jesus. Having grown up in Wales, he is an avid Welsh rugby fan and enjoys watching and playing sport with friends and family. He studied pharmacology at King’s College London and now works in healthcare research. Reuben has served as an elder at Trinity West for nearly seven years. He is married to his wife Ruth, and together they have three children. In his downtime, he also enjoys getting the projector out for a good film.

Murray Chapman

Elder

Murray joined TW in 2021, and the church has served a key role both in establishing community and friendships in London, and in equipping him to live out his faith. He and Sarah now live in Acton Vale, where he loves maintaining his musical interests: playing piano at home (and occasionally in public…), and percussion in a few London orchestras. He is also very partial to an evening of board games! Following a Masters in Spatial Data Science, he now works for Ordnance Survey, helping startups use maps in their software. He joined the eldership at TW in 2025.

The elders are assisted in the practical tasks of the church by a team of staff, deacons, and volunteers.
